I’ve had so much local interest in Seaview House, I wanted to celebrate its launch into the world. From the wonderful Dock Museum in Barrow, it is possible to take in the dramatic position of Walney Island, so what better place to celebrate a story set on the island itself. Jackie Baxter, proprietor of the local Abbey Mill Cafe, provided some amazing Seaview House cup-cakes, and John, Laura and Val from the museum kept the event running smoothly. It was great to catch up with some of my local friends and family, and people who have shown an interest in my writing. I was pleased that the current mayor was in attendance, and she bought a copy of my book. I’ve had some marvellous feedback and reviews- people loving how the 1976 flashbacks to Walney resonated with them, but also people from as far afield as Guernsey telling me how much the coastal location of the story meant to them. It’s been a frenetic but fantastic few weeks since the e-book version of Seaview House was launched, and I just hope it goes from strength-to-strength…it will, with your support!
