Not long until my eighth novel, The Silver Road, is out for publication! I have nothing but praise for my publisher, Troubador. They have supported me every step of the way, and have created a cover design and print layout/graphic that is perfect. They planted a tree to offset the paper used to print the hard copies, and I received a lovely, handwritten note to congratulate me on publication. The official date for this is 28th February, 2026, when the eBook will be released. I have copies of the paperback, which will be avaiable to purchase at the start of February. Both formats of the book will be available on the usual platforms (and some new ones) as well as in some shops!
Meanwhile, here are a few outtakes of the strapline and blurbs that contributed to the final one, which appears in the marketing.
*In a beachside community rocked by tragedy, a naïve coffee shack owner and an opportunistic stranger are drawn together as they seek to redefine their lives following the discovery of a body.
*A tight-knit beachside community is rocked by tragedy at exactly the moment a mysterious stranger appears. Who is he? And why does Fay Moon feel inexplicably drawn to him, despite the problems she is facing?
*When a body turns up outside a beach hut, the lives of the beachside community spiral. Fay is a naïve coffee shack owner; Jude is about to exploit that naivety. Fay’s best friend is dead; Jude discovers the body. The pair have never met, but are drawn together in their search for truth.
*Fay Brockbank has made a life for herself in a beachside community, though she must keep her brother’s identity a secret. When the body of her best friend is discovered by Jude Roberts, a stranger to the community, Fay can’t help thinking the worst. What she doesn’t realise is that Jude is on a mission of his own. Fay and Jude bond over events that happen in the wake of the death, but are unaware of how their pasts are intertwined. The mysterious death triggers an inquest that shakes the community’s beliefs to their core, leaving Fay and Jude to piece their lives together while trying to safeguard their fragile connection.
AND THE FINAL MASH-UP….
Fay Moon has made a life for herself in a beachside community, though there are secrets she must keep. When a body turns up near her beachside coffee shack, her life spirals. Did someone kill her best friend?
